The short version

There are no accounts and no analytics on this site, and we set no tracking cookies of our own. The tools run in your own browser, and what you type into them is not sent to us. Advertising comes from Google, which does use cookies, as explained below.

What is kept on your device

The tools save what you type (your times, your hourly rate, your pay stub figures and your settings) in your browser's storage so it is still there when you come back, along with your choice of light or dark mode. That information stays on your device; we never receive it. To remove it, use “Clear the week” or “Start over”, or clear the site's data in your browser.

Links you share

If you use “Send a link”, “Copy link” or “Send by WhatsApp”, your times and hourly rate are written into the link itself. Anyone with the link can see them, and when someone opens it, that address appears in the server log like any other. Share it only with people you choose.

Server logs

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this one keeps a log of requests: the address requested, the time, your IP address and your browser type. These logs are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse, and are not used to identify or profile visitors.

The contact form

If you send a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to us so we can reply. Your IP address is used to limit how many messages one connection can send. The form uses an automated check to block spam; its code is loaded from the jsDelivr content network, so your browser makes a request to jsDelivr when you open the contact page.

Advertising

The site uses Google AdSense to show ads. This is how they work:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your earlier visits to this site or to other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. To opt out of other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising, visit aboutads.info.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services. Ads never see what you type into the tools: your hours and pay do not leave your device.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information.
• We ourselves do not build profiles of visitors.
• We do not send marketing email.
